I Built A Chair

I put together my first new office chair in about 6 years. It used to be the test for starting at Backcountry.com. You had to assemble your own desk and chair. Ahh, how times have changed. Everybody gets a capacious cubicle and a $39 chair that is destined to break.
This is theĀ home office because by God I’m gonna get organized this year. And I set right to it with my usual damn the torpedoes approach.
And at the end of all of my hex wrenching and bolting…it’s a chair. And you could sit it on it and even spin. Move across the floor. But it only reclines forward or as you might say it inclines backward. Either way it’s totally useless as anything except as a piece ill-conceived performance art called; Disinclined Comfort.
A second evening with Staples finest chair and it now works as it should. But I have three spare bolts. I’m betting one evenig it gives up the ghost and piles me fromĀ my fully reclined feet up position to rearward header with a big bump.
